  2. heheh . . . I got lazy painting in the refuse behind him. Got preoccupied by color and lighting and got lazy about painting in the pizza boxes, old chinese takeout etc.

Speed painting is not my forte.

Just noticed blogspot won't even let me PASTE into a reply at all. Amazing what they can do with web-browsers now.

  6. My photoshop teacher used to say "as wide as the ocean, and as deep as the sea". Seriously though, it is all about your context. Graphic designers don't use photoshop the same way 3d artists do, and painters don't use it in the same way that photographers use it. Regardless, it is THE hub skillset to have in CGI. I can't really work without it. Now if I could just get faster at painting in it!

  7. You said cloth? Crap. I guess the intended effect of a noisy video camera signal (CCTV) did not come across.

  8. It looks kind of like a painting on black velvet. I think it's just because there is so much black surounding the central image. But I totaly see what you're trying to do. Now it reminds me of the Matrix.

Perhaps if the TV didn't have the CCTV FX on it? Know what I mean? That would push the TV into the forground more, and also have it more like the TV is projecting the CCTV look/light on to the guy.

  9. Well . . . it was supposed to be the POV of a CCTV / security cam. Like there is a security cam behind the TV. I see your point though. Maybe I will post a revised one with the FX more obvious.
