Round 17: Monkeys in Masks

  Happy (belated) Halloween! This was part of the series of drawings I did for Inktober, which is a daily ink exercise in the month of October.
  The story goes, that if you visit Indonesia as a tourist, you may be approached by monkeys wearing kid's clothes and doll masks begging for money.  The problem is so bad that the government offers roughly 100 bucks for each monkey trainer turned in.  Seemed like the perfect topic for Inktober!

December 21st Bak'Tun

A little late, but this was my "holiday" card this year. Just a super quick ink job with flat color. On the inside of the cards I did personalized apocalypse comments like: "Maybe it will be like Mad Max! You bring the guns and we'll build the Thunderdome!" That sort of silliness. ;)

As a life long celebrator of Chrismukkah and regular illustrator of Seasonal Holiday Cards sometimes my work has a more direct reference to specific Holiday imagery. In this case I went with two feelings or activities I have this time of year. It still captures the Holiday spirit to me; and Secular Half-Jew.
