"Dream" and "Delirium". Two of the "Endless". Sorry for the long delay in posting. This is an unfinished WIP as I am still learning my way around digital painting.
It's good to see you diving in and expirementing with the digital stuff. I love what you did with the stars and the smoke. I kinda wish there was some bright color on the right side to balance it out. The sketch is awesome.
make them brushes Grey, make them custom brushes...good stuff all around, my first year's worth of digital drawing and painting didn't look this good..plus vertigo's sandman...classic.
Gonna try and finish it for the heck of it. Your right about the custom brushes . . . still don't have a very good workflow yet. Still learning rules and tips as I go along. I realize I have a vast array of 3d skills but I suck at digital painting.
Your digi technique is improving. Keep working with the blending (make sure to do a solid opaque layer first, before you bust out the translucent brushes for the blending). I didn't even touch custom brushes for...geez, like 7 yrs after I started working digitally? They're fun, but there's a lot of solid foundation stuff you need to learn first and a normal round is just fine for that, IMO.
As for the deities...from Sandman? Still haven't read that, but it's on my shelf waiting patiently. Are you going to add the third to the background? I like the expanse of the scene, but it did look like you were going for a certain composition in the initial sketch.
To join our beloved...sketchyscribbles...just contact either Benjamin Reid Phillips, Scott White, Ben Cohen or Grey through the contributors tab. Or, just follow the blog as you please with our many options just below and thanks for the visit!
